The Age of Stupid is the perfect film to heighten our awareness of what climate change is and the possible impact of our current lifestyle in relation to waste, water and energy.

Footprints is a group of residents who accepted a challenge to reduce their ecological footprint. They are aged between 25 and 40 and reside in the lower north shore. This group have a proportionally higher demographic representation and are less often reached by local sustainability programmes because of busy lifestyles.
The programme focuses on core sustainability issues of waste, water and energy. Participants are supported by social networking events, email and internet resources to help them integrate sustainable changes into their lifestyle.
The aim of the project is to:
- Reduce participants’ ecological footprint
- Reduce the communities’ energy and water consumption and minimise waste
- Improve community understanding of sustainability issues
- Build life skills/knowledge base of participants
- Build community capacity to facilitate change
- Promote social interaction/build community partnerships
