Where is ME Bank Starlight Cinema?

We’re located at North Sydney Oval, Miller Street, North Sydney during summer. The Oval is located on the east side of Miller Street between Ridge and Carlow Streets. It is adjacent to St Leonards Park.

Where can I park?

In North Sydney there is street parking on Miller Street. Alternatively, there are 196 car spaces at the Ridge Street Car Park on St James Place off Ridge Street (between Miller and West Streets). The Car Park is approximately 200m walk and operates until 1am. The cost of parking is a flat rate after 5.30pm Monday to Friday and is free on weekends. Payment is by coins or credit card at the car park ticketing machine.

What public transport is there?

North Sydney Oval is a ten minute walk from North Sydney Train Station. Alternatively, a number of buses pass North Sydney Oval. For Public Transport Information telephone 131 500 or visit http://www.131500.com.au/.

What happens if it rains?

Sydney during summer can experience occasional afternoon showers, however on most evenings these showers clear in time for the film screening.
North Sydney Oval has a very porous surface, which dries off quickly after rain and has large stands with undercover seating, if it showers before or during the movie, making our venue all weather.

What is your cancellation policy?

ME Bank Starlight Cinema is an outdoor event and is subject to weather conditions. Patrons accept the risk that rain may occur on a screening night and acknowledge that tickets will not be exchanged or refunded unless a screening is cancelled by ME Bank Starlight Cinema. In the event that a screening is cancelled, when possible, pre-booked patrons will be advised by email or SMS. Advice of the cancellation will also be posted on the ME Bank Starlight Cinema Home Page. When a film is cancelled, patrons will be advised of refund arrangements.

North Sydney Oval Wednesday to Sunday from 18 January to 4 March 2012.

What time does the box office open?

6.30pm

What time does the Gate open?

7.00pm

When does the film start?

At sundown. This is approximately 8.30pm in January, 8.00pm in late February and early March.

What are the seating arrangements?

ME Bank Starlight Cinema provides low beach chairs for sitting on the Oval. The hire charge is $5.00 each.

If you would like something more comfortable you can book ME Bank Star Class, the Crust Lawn Lounge, sit at a table on the Numero Uno Cafe Terrace or find a bench in a covered Stand.

Alternatively, you can bring your own picnic rug and low beach chairs, provided they have curved legs as pictured. Directors and camp chairs can be used on the concourse only.

What is the Crust Lawn Lounge?

The Crust Lawn Lounge is a reserved area with 20 bean beds right in front of the screen.

Tickets & Services

Is there wheelchair access?

There is wheelchair access at North Sydney Oval. Entry is via the Ridge Street gate. Please call 9969 6442 between 9.00am and 5.00pm on the day of the film you are intending to see to arrange assistance. Wheelchair seating is available on the concourse.

Where can I buy tickets?

Either online, at our venue ticket office which opens at 6.30pm each evening, over the phone - 1300 GET TIX (438 849) or at a Moshtix outlet.

Enquiries about tickets?

Any enquiries about tickets should be directed to Moshtix, the ME Bank Starlight Cinema ticketing service provider. You can contact them via phone on 1300 GET TIX (438 849) or email at ticketsupport@moshtix.com.au.

Can I buy tickets for more than one film?

Yes. You can purchase a Book of 10 tickets. These tickets can be used for any film with the exception of the Brazilian Festa. You can use these tickets for one movie or across the 2012 season. Just present your ticket at the gate for general admission to the film of your choice.

What credit cards do you accept?

Online we accept Visa, MasterCard and Amex. At the Venue we take Visa and Masterdard.

How can I book if I don't have a credit card?

You can buy at the Gate using cash, eftpos or credit card OR at a Moshtix Outlet.

How do I redeem my gift voucher?

General Admission Gift Voucher's can be used for ANY FILM during the 2012 ME Bank Starlight Cinema season 18 January to 4 March 2012. Just present these are the Gate on the night of the film of your choice.

For Star Class, Lawn Lounge or voucher including a hamper, this gift voucher must be redeemed for a specific film no later than 3:00pm the business day before the selected movie. Please book over the phone through Moshtix - 1300 GET TIX (438 849).

Can I BYO?

NO BYO alcohol is permitted at North Sydney Oval. The Oval is a licenced sports venue. The Hungerford Hill Bar offers Little Creatures beers and cider; Hungerford Hill Wines and soft drinks. You can bring a picnic. Please do not bring glass.

Can we buy food there?

Yes, we offer hampers, anitpasto and cheese boxes, Numero Uno Coffee, sweets, ice cream and confectionery.

Can I bring my own food in to ME Bank Star Class?

No. This is a fully serviced area. ME Bank Star Class ticket holders receive a pre-selected hamper.

Can I bring my own chair?

Yes. Please note only low chairs with curved legs are permitted on the Oval. Camp and director’s chairs are to be used on the Concourse.

Can we smoke at the venue?

Yes, in the designated smoking areas.

Can I bring my pet?

No, North Sydney Oval does not permit animals.

Do I need to bring anything?

A ground rug, a jacket, if it is breezy, and your desire to have fun.
